Multicultural weddings always tend to be interesting and as a videographer, I get to learn new things about other cultures and get to experience a “fresh and new” wedding through my lens. Roberto (Italian) and Raha (Persian) had a beautiful wedding at the Hilton in Saint John, NB. You can get a glimpse of their wedding at the above trailer but there’s a few things that really stood out to me. Raha and the girls were practicing their persian dance while getting ready in their hotel room. It was so unexpected and different that it immediately caught my and the photographer’s (Ryan Lavigne) attention. The other thing that really stood out was the persian traditions that they incorporated into the wedding, including the yogurt during the ceremony, and the sister knife dance at the reception. I don’t want to overuse the word unique but this wedding was just that and more.
