Here are some common questions about Memorywalk Films.

HOW CAN WE BOOK OUR DATE?

Before booking, we require to meet the couple either in person or via FaceTime/Hangouts/Skype video call. We do this to make sure we are all on the same page and that expectations are set right from the get go. It’s a great chance to get to know each other as well.
Once the meeting takes place a 25% non-refundable booking fee and contract signed officially books your date.

WHAT HAPPENS LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING?

With our Highlights package we touch base with our couples leading up to the wedding to get a detailed itinerary and we also provide a wedding tips PDF which goes over a few things to get the most out of your wedding cinematography.

Our Forever package is at another level. We sit down with our couples beforehand, preferably in person, and go through the wedding day itinerary and tips in detail. We also have discussions with the hired photographer and DJ to ensure all vendors are on the same page.

DO YOU PROVIDE RAW UNCUT FOOTAGE ALONG WITH THE FINISHED VIDEO?

We do not provide RAW footage. It does not fit our brand or what we set out to achieve. If you have watched our films and do not have your heart set in remembering your day that way we do our craft, your best bet is to find someone else to capture your special day.

WHERE DO YOU FILM? DO YOU FILM DESTINATION WEDDINGS?

Yes, we certainly are up for filming pretty much anywhere, besides countries that are super restrictive of entering as a professional such as China and Cuba.

Some places I am craving to film in are Iceland, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Ireland.

WHAT DO WE RECEIVE AFTER THE WEDDING?

You will receive your finished wedding film via digital download link from Vimeo.com. Your film will be on Vimeo.com for as long as owner of Memorywalk is still alive, which makes it super easy to share if you see fit. You will have a downloaded backup that we always recommend putting up in the cloud in case your computer crashes or get’s stolen.

DO YOU FILM FRENCH WEDDINGS?

Yes, we sure do! We do need to add a $200 translation fee for us to make the speeches and any audio make perfect sense while editing.

DO YOU POST OUR WEDDING FILM ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Yes, our contract goes over the copyright and the usage rights which basically gives us full control on where the completed wedding film shows up. We need to market our films to gather new business, so we often put them up on our website and typically always put them up on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and others.

If you’re looking to keep your film private we will need to pass on the opportunity. We are super proud of our work and feel our love stories must be shared.

CAN WE PICK THE SONG INCLUDED IN THE VIDEO?

Wedding song licenses are tricky so we end up picking the songs to be included in your wedding film. There’s only a few music licensing companies online that are tailored for the wedding industry and hopefully this changes in the near future. Some popular artists are on these sites, but the main benefit is that typically the music we choose is very unique. We’ve never had a complaint from a couple about the music we’ve chosen and it’s an important piece to the film that we do not overlook.

DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL AT THE WEDDING RECEPTION?

If we don’t get fed, we turn into grizzly bears. Grizzly bears are not that great at shooting wedding films! We’re joking of course but a meal is much appreciated!
