HOW CAN WE BOOK OUR DATE?
If you’re ready to book your date, then I hope I can show as much excitement to you as possible, because I am amped about filming your wedding! The only 100% way to secure your date is by paying a $300 non-refundable down payment. We currently accept email money transfer, cash, or check. The rest of the balance is due the day of the wedding unless otherwise specified in your agreement.
WHAT HAPPENS LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING? DO YOU JUST SHOW UP FOR THE WEDDING DATE?
We like to sit down with our clients, if possible, roughly a month before the wedding to go over the little details of your big day. We also want to get to know you a bit so we can help cater the film to who you both are. The more personal the video becomes, the more of your beautiful story we can tell in our art of motion.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK?
This is no sales pitch, but the earlier the better. Wedding videography is a hot item right now, and prime booking dates can be there one day and gone the next. Remember, you don’t have to pick out your package right away, you can pay the $300 down payment to simply reserve your date.
DO YOU PROVIDE RAW UNCUT FOOTAGE ALONG WITH THE FINISHED VIDEO?
Memorywalk is a professional company and we do not offer RAW footage of any kind. With that said, there’s no professional that would offer this since their brand and reputation is built around the films we release. If you are looking for some RAW and very choppy footage of your entire wedding day, that’s not us. You can always have a friend use a small camera to film a wedding, but it doesn’t leave you with an artistic film that we provide. 9/10 people prefer our films and we want our company’s reputation to be the cream of the crop for the wedding industry.
WHERE DO YOU FILM? DO YOU FILM DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Memorywalk is currently based out of Quispamsis, New Brunswick. Most of our films are in the southern, NB area but we are more than welcome to provide travel quotes. We are also open to destination weddings, but booking well in advance is typically required.
WHAT DO WE RECEIVE AFTER THE WEDDING?
What you receive depends on which package you chose, but we’re a modern company that believes DVD’s are a thing of the past. Every one of our packages comes with your video posted on a professional hosting site, Vimeo.com. This ensures no scratched DVD will ever ruin your video, as it’s posted online forever. Shouldn’t our most precious memories belong backed up in a secure environment? We think so. We also make it super simple to download the video from Vimeo so you can burn it to DVD if you wish. Most media devices like AppleTV, Roku, and others easily allow you to watch Vimeo videos right on your TV set. If you’re not that tech savvy, not to worry, just leave that to us!
DO YOU FILM FRENCH WEDDINGS?
Yes, Memorywalk films in various french communities in Atlantic Canada. We do however charge an additional $100 for translation services to ensure any parts of the speeches that are included in the final product are used appropriately. In most cases the speeches can be the most emotional part of your wedding video and we want to make sure it’s remembered to its fullest. Please let us know beforehand if speeches will be in french.
WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO THE VIDEO?
Memorywalk retains the copyright to the video. To grow our business we need to do this so we can use the video to help market ourselves. This is a standard in our industry and has no effect on you watching and downloading your wedding video.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL AT THE WEDDING RECEPTION?
If we don’t get fed, we turn into grizzly bears. Grizzly bears are not that great at shooting wedding videos! We’re joking of course but a meal is much appreciated!
SO YOU PRIMARILY FILM WEDDINGS, WHAT ABOUT MARKETING VIDEOS AND CORPORATE WORK?
We are more than welcome to provide a proposal for small to medium size businesses. Price range for corporate work ranges from $2,000-$10,000.
